The XIII Latvian Song Festival in Canada, Hamilton 2009

From the very first note sounded  at Hamilton Place, we relaxed in an inviting atmosphere. Thanks to the Tourism Bureau of Hamilton and Sheraton Hotel as festival central  and other hotels filled with guests, this city with a heart felt like home. Many vistors’ comments  attest to an enjoyable five days in a great city by the lake.

It is true to say, that  e  v  e  r  y  Latvian in Hamilton was involved whether behind the scenes volunteering, with generous donations, hosting visitors, performing, or serving on the organizing committee. For some individuals we could say – all of the above! Hamilton’s  numerically small community demonstrated  a big heart and enormous energy.

Dear friends , when something great such as this lucky thirteenth festival ends, there is a little sadness, to be sure. But, be aware,  good news is on the horizon. The festival flag has journeyed to Milwaukee for the XIII Latvian Song Festival in the USA......
